Denver Mushroom Ballot

On the 7th of May 2019, the people of Denver voted for the decriminalization of adult possession and use of psilocybin mushrooms.

Owning and eating mushrooms in the state of Denver is now assigned the lowest law enforcement priority, prohibiting the city from spending resources on enforcing related penalties.

What does this entail?

While psilocybin mushrooms aren’t strictly speaking legal, the city’s just no longer allowed to spend tax money on prosecution.
No resources – no arrests.

Hence, to persons 21 or older, owning mushrooms in Denver is now safer than it has been for the last 50 years.
